The Adult 55+ Ministry exists for the purpose of providing opportunities for spiritual growth and at the same time offer numerous activities involving missions, fellowship, and travel. Our goal is to make Jesus known in Aiken and beyond.
SUNSHINE LADIES
The Sunshine Ladies meet at 9:00 AM each Monday morning in the Atrium to write notes of encouragement, sympathy, or whatever the need may be. They visit in the hospitals, nursing homes, and with our homebound, bringing them a warm smile, a kind word, and some beautiful flowers to brighten their day. All are welcome to join this group. WHITTLERS
The Handyman ministry of Adult 55+ Ministry meets throughtout the year for breakfast, a Bible lesson, and fellowship. Following the meal, work assignments are given out and our men are off to use their hands as tools of God to help make repairs, build handicap ramps and a number of other projects among our members. Join us on March 7 for lunch and a theatre production of The 4th Cross at NarroWay in Fort Mills, SC. NarroWay is the premier Christian theater of the South and features fun, family-friendly lunch/ dinner shows in a schedule that runs year-round. Live animals, talented actors, original scripts, inspiring music and a delicious meal themed with the show are all part of the NarroWay experience.
Production Synopsis: Four crosses. Four men. One man is a murderer. Two are thieves. The fourth is a carpenter from Nazareth. Pilate shouts to the crowd and the stones echo back: "I will save one man and crucify the other! Whom do you choose?" And though the cry of the crowd that day set only one man free - it saved us all. This is the story of The Fourth Cross.
We will meet at the Mill at 8:45 AM and returning around 6:00 PM. Cost is $70 which includes your ticket, meal, and transportation. Lunch will be served during the production. Seating is limited to the first 40 paid registrations (online or church office).
