Prayer Team Opportunities

The goal of the Prayer Ministry is not to do all the praying for the church, but to equip, enable, and encourage church members to pray continually and effectively while making prayer a part of everything they do. We help to undergird our body of Christ and community in prayer and intercede on behalf of our Staff Team, Leadership Teams, Ministry Areas, and those who have yet to attend. We also receive and pray for concerns and requests from individuals in the congregation and rejoice in prayer over praise reports.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—
we know that we have what we asked of him. – 1 John 5:14-15

Involvement in the Prayer Ministry Team varies as follows:
• Individual Prayer Team (Daily)
• Prayer Tent Team (Weekly)
• Worship Center Prayer Team (Bi-Monthly)
• Prayer Warriors Team (Monthly)

Other Areas:
• Quarterly Prayer Outreach Projects to our church and community: Prayer Vigil, Easter Outreach, Nursing Home Residents, Homebound Members
• Birthday Card Ministry to each prayer team member
• Prayer Leadership Team: Meets at least quarterly and as needed to develop plans for the Prayer Ministry Team

The one concern of the Devil is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray. – Samuel Chadwick

The wonderful thing about praying
is that you leave a world of not being able to do something,
and enter God’s realm where everything is possible.
